The Taxman Cometh: Highlights of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017 – and how they affect you as an individual taxpayer or small business owner.

On December 22, 2017, the President signed into law the most comprehensive tax reform act since Ronald Reagan was President. It is officially titled “An Act to Provide for Reconciliation Pursuant to Titles II and V of the Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2018.” Politicians named it “The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.” CPA’s and other tax professionals call it “The CPA and Tax Preparers Lifetime Job Security Act.”

Come hear Certified Score Business Mentor, Harry Eng, a practicing CPA, Enrolled Agent and principal partner in the St. Charles tax firm, Fox Valley Tax Solutions, explain in simple, easy to understand terms, why the return you will file this spring will be radically different than any you have been accustomed to in the last 30 plus years. During the evening he will answer your technical questions as well as suggest actions you can take to minimize your taxes in coming years.
