 Monthly meeting of the Elgin Genealogical Society.

Kurt Pearson will introduce the process he has used for “Creating Books from Genealogical Research”. He has completed several family books from his own genealogical research. Kurt will show a wide variety of illustrated examples, give tips on how anyone can take their findings they have collected, organize them, and make books that will become family treasures.

Kurt Pearson, a Crystal Lake native, graduated from Crystal Lake Community High School in 1976 and Knox College in 1980. He taught high school English for eighteen years before becoming library director at McHenry West Campus. Kurt is retired and enjoys genealogy, writing, gardening and travel. He has been conducting genealogical research and creating family history books since 1996. His latest work is Swedenberg, a two-volume set on the Swedish community in Crystal Lake.
