Description:
 New York City's renowned American Place Theatre presents dynamic, one-act, verbatim adaptations of transformative American literary works. A portion of their dramatization of The Secret Life of Bees will be performed at this program and followed by a discussion between the performers and the audience. Set during the Civil Rights Movement, Sue Monk Kidd's novel chronicles a young girl's search for truth as she discovers the meaning of family.
