In honor of Abraham Lincoln's 201th birthday this week, "The Roads that Lead to Lincoln" author program looks at Abraham Lincoln’s contributions to the growth of Illinois through his political and legal careers and a travelogue of Lincoln historic sites along three of the state’s scenic byways: Route 66, the Great River Road, and the Lincoln Highway.

David Clark has been presenting programs at museums, libraries, and social groups since 2006, and he has been researching and writing about the highways of Illinois since 2002. He has written books about Route 66 and he conducts tours of historic buildings and roads in the Chicagoland area. Book sales and signing follow the one-hour PowerPoint program.
